By accessing or using BuildMyResume ("the Service") at buildmyresume.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

BuildMyResume is a free, web-based resume builder that allows users to:

• Create and manage professional resumes
• Choose from multiple resume templates
• Export resumes to PDF format
• Generate shareable public resume links

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice.

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk)
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You retain full ownership of all content you submit to BuildMyResume, including your resume data, personal information, and any other materials ("User Content").

By using the Service, you grant BuildMyResume a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information on resumes
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use automated bots or scrapers to access the Service
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

When you generate a shareable public link for your resume, that resume becomes accessible to anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for the content of publicly shared resumes.

You can disable public sharing at any time from your dashboard, which will immediately revoke access via the shared link.

The Service, including its design, templates, code, and branding, is owned by BuildMyResume and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Resume templates are provided for your personal use to create resumes. They may not be resold or redistributed.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that resumes created through the Service will result in employment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildMyResume shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or employment opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claims under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which is $0 as the Service is free).

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all your resume data will be permanently removed from our servers.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms, without liability to you.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
